I am unable to post pictures of today's homework because I left my phone at work.  Must be the pregnancy brain. :)

So here is a list of what students should complete as HW tonight.

1.  Engage NY (Eureka Math) Lesson 1 #4-7 on p. 4.  Use the Problem Set to help you.
2.  Island of the Blue Dolphins Ch. 25
       -reread ch. 25
       -add two details and write a paragraph
      (Today's focus was either characterization or theme.  Students chose their focus and got into groups to begin finding details and elaborations.  Some even were able to start their paragraphs in class.  So depending on how your child used his or her time, the assignment may be mostly done.)
3.  Word architect for "hydra/o"

Solved the Math Stumper! - 10/10/14

It was challenging because while one could use many different combinations to add up to 50, each number in the box could only be used once in an equation.

Thursday, 10/16/14 - Homework and Reminders

No new homework was assigned today to allow you to finish your autobiography projects. 

Refer to the rubric below to ensure that you have met all the requirements. Feel free to email me with any additional questions.

Tomorrow we also we be celebrating our reward for the Can Drive by watching a movie in one of the fourth grade classrooms!

Students are allowed to bring a snack to enjoy after lunch for the movie.  We will not be providing food or drink during the movie, so please pack what you would like to snack on.

The snack must fit the following requirements:

1. Fit in a sealed sandwich size bag

2. No nuts or nut products (due to allergies)

3. No gum

You may mix and match what you want to eat (candy is ok), but it must fit in a sandwich sized bag.

You also may bring water to drink. No juices please because if spilled, it can leave a sticky mess.
