Eureka Math
· Be sure to always show
the strategy you used to solve the problem.

· Draw a box around your
final answer.
· Whenever you have a word
problem, be sure to show your work/strategy and put your final answer in a
statement and draw a box around it.
· When a problem says
“explain,” you are expected to write your answer in sentences.
Word Box for Book Club
Vocabulary
· Aim to put 3 synonyms
and 3 antonyms for each vocabulary word.
· Write a sentence that
clearly shows the meaning of the vocabulary word.
· Use at least 3 colors in
the picture.
Word Architect
· Index Card
· Write a 3rd
word that has the root word in it below the 2 we did in class.
· We recommend looking up the
word online so that you can more easily see word origins.
· Be sure the meaning of
the root word is somehow embedded in the definition of the word you chose.
· Underline the root and
the meaning of the root in the definition.
Sentence Strip
· Write the word that uses
the root/prefix/suffix large in the center of the card
· The root/prefix/suffix
should be in bold and in black.
· You are encouraged to
look up pictures to help you better create a visual image for the picture of
your word.
· Use at least 3 colors in
the picture.

Book Club Journal Criteria
All entries must include..
· the date
· the chapter name/number
· and a title.
Unless
otherwise stated, your entry should include a
· topic sentence
· details (text evidence) and elaborations
to support your answer.
· You should also include transition
words (you can use your Resource or Homework Folder)
