I hope you are enjoying the investigation of your famous Californian. The rest of the project will be completed at home.
The notecards were approved last week, and students were instructed to start the rough draft on a word processing program, like Google docs or Microsoft word. If you would like to know your child's username and password so that you can access his or her Google account at home, please let me know.
I am attaching photos of what the title page and format of the whole draft should look like.
There are some examples of the timeline as well. Tomorrow in computer lab, Mr. Richmond will be showing the class a website that you can use to make your timeline. The website is www.timetoast.com and requires an account to be set up in order to use it. It is free but does need and email and password to be entered in. You are also welcome to make it using another program of your choice. This is just a suggestion.
The creative project idea is also due on Monday. Here the student just needs to decide on the creative item that he or she will use to represent or show their understanding of their famous Californian. It does not need to be completed by Monday; the idea or plan just needs to be decided on. I will be meeting with the students to discuss whether their creative product will work or is adequately representative of their Californian.
Let me know if you have any questions.
