Welcome to the 2016-2017 Year!

Hi! Welcome to Room 22. I'm Mrs De Silva and am truly looking forward to working with you this year. I like to use my website as a place to post daily homework, class updates, and resources. I primarily use Class Dojo to post photos of the class in action, so be sure to download the app on your smart device. I will share more about what to expect this year at Open House which is on August 30. 

Daily I post photos of the assigned homework. First, you'll see a picture of the agenda which will have the list of assignments and notices. That way parents can confirm with their child hat the homework was copied correctly. I also post pictures of the pages that are assigned so that if items are lost or forgotten, homework can still be completed. I accept homework completed on a separate page, as the importance is placed on the child doing the critical thinking necessary and being able to participate in discussion.

Class Dojo Invite

Yours will have your child's name on it and a special code for parents and students to register. Parents and students don't have the same features available, so it's more important that parents sign up for one. It is my main means of communication, plus you get to  see real-time updates in your child through points and photos.
